“Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.”

 – Socrates

At St Nicks Hellenica, learning begins with wonder. Children are immersed in both Greek language and Greek cultural experiences, from myth and music to food, festivals and family stories.

Our Reggio Emilia–inspired approach honours each child’s voice, identity and connection to the past — cultivating joy, curiosity and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

St Nicks Hellenica welcomes children aged 6 months to 5 years, with a licensed capacity of 56 children per day. Our three age‑based rooms draw their names—and their spirit—from Greek mythology:

Amalthea Room (6 months – 2 years)

Named for Amalthea, the nurturing goat of Greek legend, this space prioritises sensory exploration and secure attachments, supporting infants as they begin to engage with language and culture.

Artemis Room
(1 – 3 years)

Inspired by Artemis, goddess of independence and protection, toddlers build confidence through routines, hands‑on exploration and emerging conversational Greek skills.

Apollo Room
(3 – 5 years)

Honouring Apollo, god of arts and creativity, preschoolers dive into collaborative storytelling, drama and festival‑style celebrations that deepen their cultural understanding.

Each classroom is staffed by a native‑speaking Greek educator who weaves Greek language into every day.

Through song, story and simple conversation—and brings Greek culture to life with festival celebrations, Greek customs and traditions and myth‑inspired learning. Chef Niko crafts Mediterranean‑inspired menus, including homemade biscuits and muesli bars for morning tea, a wholesome lunch and afternoon tea, to encourage a wide variety of foods and flavours.
